Bonsai Show in Miri 盆栽 (a) 분재

Bonsai is a miniature tree or shrub grown in a shallow pot, depicting and resembling the nature environment. A well grown bonsai is dwarfed and require the techniques of pruning, wiring, watering, and repotting over years to get the impression of thousands year old tree in its miniature form. The bonsai art of reshaping or styling the miniature tree will produce aesthetically pleasing and beautifully bonsai. Hence, the deliberately shaped branches will appear as a miniaturized version of a large tree. The bonsai styling is in fact the containment of growth and direct it creatively to the shape that one’s desired. Growing bonsai takes many different styles that one can choose to pick up. The usual forms are informal upright form, formal upright form, broom form, formal boom form, informal boom form, slanting form, windswept form, twin trunk form, multiple trunk form, group plantings, raft form, cascade form, root over rock form, literati form, and candelabra form.
